  • RAILWAYANA or RAILWAY RELICS as this was what these were often refered to are artifacts once used on Britains railways. These items range from steam and diesel locomotive nameplate, cabside numberplates, worksplates and whistles.

  • Railway signalling items are very fashonable these days and cover everything from signalbox nameplates, instruments, brass plates, telephones, train registers and  furniture.

  •  Station items include Lamp posts, platform signs, luggage and parcels scales, seats , notices, tickets and ticket machines.From the station refreshment rooms come the fine china and silverwarwe and the list goes on........

BRITISH RAILWAYS WESTERN REGION SIGNAL BOX DOOR KEY

A standard British Railways Western Region signal box door key, exactly the same as a GWR key in size and configuration.

GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY WOOD CASED LAMP REPEATER

Here is a GWR wood cased lamp repeater made by one of their signalling contractors . These repeaters would be installed where a signal was out of the view of the signalman and indicated to him if the lamp at the signal or signals was lit.

Here  we have a  nice brass description plate possibly from an early power lever frame.  Dimensions are 5" X 3"

A nice early Ivorine shelf plate from Penarth North Curve Signal Box in Glamorgan. These instrument plates date back to the 1930s and were the new plastic of the day.

a steel Web-Thompson miniature train staff complete but with no names on it. Maybe a traing aid but both ends are stamped "E" configuration which is unusual.

A standard pattern British Railways midland region enamel upper quadrant signal arm/ This small arm is in good condition but there is some staining on the red/ white face.

Here we have a handsome wood cased repeater of the earlier type with the ornate "ogee" hand finished edging

RARE EVANS AND O`DONNELL & Co Ltd, CHIPPENHAM MAKERS PLATE

Here we have a very rare item, a cast iron makers plate by Evans & O`Donnell of Chippenham. This company later became Westinghouse Brake and Signal Company.

Great Western Railway Brass Collar Three Aspect Guards Hand Lamp.

This three aspect lamp would have been kept in the signal box for fog working and normal working.

A sturdy Great Northern Railway floor mounted signal foot plunger. This device would be mounted near the sweeps of the lever frame in front of the lever which it locked.
